Behind the name BrightBay Wellness is myself, Tiffany Barry. I am a life-long learner with a zeal to enjoy all life's moments...sticky, muddy, sunny, stormy, and glorious. I hold a license as a Master of Social Work which has given me high ethical and moral standards, as well as clinical practice. I maintain that license and currently offer traditional mental health therapy at Mosaic Counseling & Wellness in addition to Nature-based services.
I have called the slower lower coast of Delaware my home for several years and while here I have worked and volunteered with Hospice communities, adolescents in the school systems as a mental health care practitioner, been a Creative Mentoring volunteer and Girls on the Run coach. My passion to bring the "outside inside and the inside outside" has led me to offer various series for kids including a Mindful Gymnast program, Trail Running for Teens program, and mindful workshops for middle school students as well. I currently serve on the board of the suicide prevention organization, Jesse Klump Memorial Fund.
My philosophy is simple: Nature and all it offers us is a support to connect us with ourselves, others, and the bigger picture as part of this amazing planet. These connections offer tools to help us reconnect and re-invigorate ourselves when we experience transitions, challenges, or daily struggles. By using evidence-based mindfulness practices and well documented adventure therapy principles, positive psychology, and coaching principles, I am here to facilitate that reconnection.
